This drawing was commissionedI for the Biology wing at Western Oregon University as part of the Oregon Percent for Arts collection, https://state-of-oregon-art-collection.org/final/Portal.aspx?lang=en-US . it shows examples of life from the single cell to intelligent life like Darwins Tree of life diagram. Underneath this density of form lies a matrix of interlocking circles, creating a feeling of balance. The central motif is a DNA spiral in giant kelp.
