This pen and ink drawing is part of a series I made in 2017. I'm interested in how we as humans find and become attached to objects and assign them power or the ability to protect us. My version of collected objects ornaments displayed in my home are always ephemeral things, like a leaf that was lying on the forest floor and caught my eye. This is where the Talisman series came from.
